Luftwaffe Lucky Charm
History
Many pilots were superstitious, and hardly any flew without a lucky charm - from a photograph of a sweetheart in the cockpit to bomb tags, rabbit’s feet and the safety cap of a hand grenade. The M39’s cap was the most popular German lucky charm of the Second World War and was worn in many colours. Mitchell Mfg. has reproduced it in a limited run, true to the original down to the smallest detail.
